just a quick question...

so i am trying to get this asus transformer prime which is wifi only. Will i be able to use my thunderbolt to provide the signal for data when i am away from home? can i wireless tether my 4g/3g connection from the thunderbolt to the tablet ? or am i very confused.?

if i can what app will complete this the best?

yes, you can. Without root, you can use the stock wireless tether app by signing up for mhs through verizon. If rooted, you can use the wifi tether app for free, but you may be in violation of the TOS by doing so.

hmm. well my tbolt is rooted. i guess whats throwing me is that i am not providing a wifi signal all the time to the tablet. it would be a 3g. or 4g signal (if i was not in a wifi spot ). and the fact that the tablet is wifi only, i thought it may not accept it from a source other than a router.

so i am rooted . what app would i need to wirelessly lend the connection to the tablet?

The 3G or 4G connection is sent from your Tbolt to your tablet as a wifi signal. You don't need to set up anything special.

Try Barnacle Wifi tether. That works perfectly for me.
