Using Verizon bought pixel without a SIM card?

Can I use my Verizon bought Pixel and take out the SIM card? Any advantages or disadvantages to taking out the SIM card?

A disadvantage is that you won't be able to make calls and use data on a carrier network (unless you get a VoIP app, then it uses Wi-Fi).

If you take out the SIM card, the phone will still be useable as a WiFi device; however, you will not be able to make or receive phone calls, text messages, etc. You'll basically have a small Wifi tablet.

It would just be a phone without a SIM so no cellular -- that is it.

Then you'd need a SIM from any carrier and you'd be good .
