I am a right arm amputee, but I am curious about Android Wear. Could anyone comment on how usable these wearables are without any touch input and just gestures and voice? I'm fine if I don't have full functionality, but I'm curious if it's worth it or if I can do anything with it? Thanks.

It's actually very usable without touch input, especially after the update to enable flicking your wrist to scroll. I use the voice input quite a bit on my Moto 360 and I think it works pretty good.

Thank you! Can you actually use the voice input to carry out complete actions? For example sending a text/navigating? Or do you have to tap anything to "start" or "send?"

You would have to have the "tilt to wake" option turned on (which will affect battery life), then lift the watch to the stereotypical "watch reading" position to turn on the display. Once the display is on, you say "OK, Google" to activate the command mode. Then you issue your command, like "send text to Joe"... You can complete the whole task without touching the watch.

However, there are some things like going into the settings menu that simply cannot be accessed without touching the watch.

You can reply without touch, and you can see part of the messages with wrist flick. You still have to touch the screen to see a whole email or long sms.
