would be nice if that company made it Disable subtitle automatically ???

Are you using an "Onn" TV, or are you just saying, on (my) Smart TV?

Google recommends these steps.
1. Toggle Subtitles via X-plore Player Overlay
When playing a video, use the player's internal menu to turn off subtitles:

  • Bring up the player control overlay (usually by pressing OK or D-Pad Center).
  • Look for the subtitle/caption icon (often a small box in the lower-left area).
  • Select it and set the subtitle track to "None" or "Off".

2. Disable "Auto Load Subtitles" in X-plore
X-plore may be configured to automatically load external subtitle files (SRT, SUB, etc.) found in the same folder.

  • Open X-plore settings.
  • Navigate to Video Player settings.
  • Uncheck/Disable "Auto load subtitles".
3. Clear App Cache and Restart
If the subtitles are "stuck" due to a glitch, clear the app data:

  • Go to Onn TV Settings > Apps > X-plore.
  • Select Clear cache and Clear data.
  • Restart your Onn Smart TV.
4. Use an Alternative Player
If version 4.34 of X-plore continues to malfunction, the player engine within X-plore might have a bug. Use X-plore to locate the file, but select "Open with" and choose a different player, such as Nova Player or VLC, which often handle subtitles better.

5. Check System Accessibility Settings
Sometimes, the Onn TV's Android system settings override the app settings.

  • Go to Settings > System > Accessibility > Captions.
  • Ensure Display is turned Off.
If the issue persists, users on forums have found that updating or re-installing the app from the Play Store (if available) or downgrading to a slightly older version (4.33) can fix issues introduced by the 4.34 update.

Let us know if any of these steps help.
