I had the totallee clear case and it's the same experience as any other case still looks like there is a case one just much slimmer. My issue is not the slimness of cases I'm okay with that it's more about the actual look. A clear case still makes the color of the phone look different and like all clear cases it turned yellow over time. Usually 2-3 months.

Maybe a frosted white/transparent ultra slim case would do then?

I don't think those become yellow/brown with time.

This is what you may want. Minimal "better-than-nothing" protection but thin enough to fully conserve the feel and look of the device. For example the orange power button will still be visible.

When I first had the pixel 4 xl, I loved how it felt in hand. I only used a case if I took it out in the supermarket, post office etc. The sides felt almost rubbery and really helped the grip factor of that phone.

Yeah I agree, wonderful so my Pixel 3 XL, I enjoyed it naked in the hands as well. It was just so unsafe / dangerous Because anywhere I would go even at home on corporate I was afraid of dropping my phone. I got so paranoid that I wind up putting the thin case on it but offered no protection so I got with the bumper case and never looked back.

I never took my Pixel 2 out of its case and whenever I did, I too was really nervous about dropping it. It's too bad because it's gorgeous hardware but its fragility makes us nervous! Better to be safe than sorry!

Finally received my Dbrand skin after two weeks of wairing. I have officially combined it with a rhinoshield bumper and black G logo. Like the look and feel so far. The back 100% feels much grippier now sort of has a leather like texture feel to it.

Yeah liking it so far. Maybe in the future I'll change the skin for a new look.

Honestly, on my Pixel 3 XL, I've been thinking of switching up the skin on my backing, but my red carpet fiber is in perfect condition and they're durable as hell, So maybe I'll just wait haha.. For the pixel 4's though d-brand and has the new pastel color line. I'm not sure why they held I went on designing the pastel color line for the Pixel 3s, but whatever. There's also the Joey rigg everything tear down skins if you want to see through look!

I'm not crazy of the year down look where you see the inside components of a device. But yeah I'll play around with more configurations and get one when I'm bored of this one. I might just use this setup with all mybphon e going forward. But a case on day one for the initial protection and then get the dbrand skin/rhinoshield bumper if they make it once it becomes available.

Yup yup I hear you. It's a great idea! Yeah the tear down skin is not for everyone. But that's why it's all up to you and what looked you're going for congrats though!
