V10 getting hot?

I love my V10, but it is running real hot when I am watching you tube videos and it is killing the battery very fast. Anyone else experiencing it?

Yes I am. I was just going to write a post about this just now. I just put my phone down for 10 mind, came back and picked it up and it was hot. The battery was at 35% 10min later it's at 25%. I don't know what's killing my battery and I don't know of why it's running hot. It's getting to me im thinking of returning my phone and getting something else. Problem is no other phone has expandable memory with is a big deal to me. So I'm at a crossroad. I love the V10, but the battery and the running hot is killing my love for this phone.

My phone has gotten warm at best. My ICON has been hotter. An app might be your culprit.

Check under battery and power saving /battery usage and see if an app is running wild. I had this happen last week. Exchange services went rogue and dramatically drained my batteries even after a restart. Turned out there was an update available and that cleared it up.

Mine is too. This has happened with every smartphone I've had. Its not the phone It's a process or app on the phone. I downloaded Cooler Master which seems to be a highly rated app. The temp fell a lot from 97.6 to 92. CPU usage dropped from 42% to around 15%. I could feel the farm wasn't as hot either. It was warm. So it was obviously an app. I will try to play with it more to figure which app it was. I currently don't have a micro sd card in my phone. Definitely an app causing phone to overheat. Oh, and when my phone gets hot from whatever app thats causing this, the fast charger can barely charge it its draining so fast! Gonna figure out which app is causing this. Sorry but battery usage list isn't helping.

Cooler Master has a cool (no pun intended) setting (long lasting cooling). It can automatically close apps if temp reaches a certain temperature! Perfect! I set my threshold to 95 degrees.

This is almost always an app you should unistall. Over time I have figured out to only install the apps I really need in order to stay away from these issues.

I think that is good advice. I seem to just add apps very randomly and hardly ever use most of them

For the record, I sold my V10 not just because of the heating issue, but I felt it was a little too big and I didn't see the value in the second screen. I am on the hunt for a slightly smaller size phone. any advise would be greatly appreciated..

I've noticed that a couple of times too. Usually when playing a game or updating apps from the play store. The phone will stay hot like the app keeps running after I am finished and the battery level goes down rapidly. Usually a reboot fixes it. I almost returned the phone because of this. Hasn't done it to a point that worries me in quite awhile so I'm thinking maybe an update fixed it. It still gets warm but not hot now.
