V20 Back button and knock knock code won't work

My LG v20 does a strange thing sometimes.It will quit responding to knock knock code to turn off and the power button won't work unless I take the battery out and put it back in.
Check apps , just a strange thing that started .I used to think it was my case but it does it with any case when it decides to do it.
It will work fine for weeks befode it does this.

Do you have any launchers like Nova or something else?

I noticed that no matter what I do, my V20 ends up with lag. The double tap square to switch apps works flawlessly on the fiancée's G6 and on my V30, but th V20 stutters and sometimes you have to keep tapping. The V20 has always been somewhat quirky, as if the software is not fully properly developed.

If the power button stops working on mine, I find that pressing one, or both volume buttons plus the power button together will usually get it working again without having to pull the battery.

No uninstalled Nova launcher long time ago.
I will try the volume and bavk thing next time.Thanks

Though I don't use my V20 much these days I'm not seeing any of the issues mentioned. I was using Nova launcher.
