Has anyone seen the "deals" that LG is offering for the V20 on black Friday?

AT&T and Sprint are offering $200 off when trading in your old phone and the free headphones.

Verizon is offering $300 off for your old phone plus the headphones.

And T-Mobile is only offering the headphones.

I made a post debating about buying when the V20 was launched, but some of you helped me decide to hold off because I don't want the headphones and I was hoping there would be a deal on black Friday. Lucky me being a T-Mobile customer, it looks like I'm still going to be waiting a little longer for a price drop. I'm not complaining though, it's just the luck of the draw.

Just a restart of the launch promos for the most part :( On the other hand, it could be a sign that LG thinks the V20 is selling well. I recall last year the V10 price dropped pretty quickly at TMobile, and it also showed up in their refurbished offerings after only a few weeks of being released. That's never a good sign lol

I'm sorry, OP! That's a tough break. :( But I'm sure there will be some special deals over the Christmas holidays! :)

Yeah I was hoping for the same thing as the V20 costs a mandatory 49.99 plus the taxes which brings it to about $100 to get. But if the price doesn't drop soon I'll be getting mine regardless.

Get the G5 my girlfriend has it and it's updating to nougat as I type this. It's a steal at that price. I wish I would have waited. I paid almost 600 for it a little over a month ago.

Thanks. You can't win them all, I 2 just hoping on a prayer that it would be discounted a little bit. Nearly $800 is a tough pill for me to swallow for a phone.

That's what I'm thinking too. I really want this phone but it's hard to pull the trigger with a down payment. I've been used to the thought that down payments are for people with less than stellar credit.

I do have a G5. I came from a Note 4 to the G5 and I've been missing the screen size since then. What provider do you have? I'm on t-mobile and I'm having an issue with updates. I received the security update a few weeks ago but I didn't install it at the time because I was busy. Later that day, and since then, my phone will say that I have an update but it doesn't give me an option to download it or install it.

While I can't be sure about the other carriers, that is not Verizon's BF deal. If you go to the LG BF page, it's clear the headphones offer ends today (Sun 11/20) and the $300 trade-in has been in place since the V20's release. The other current deal is BOGO 1/2 off, which I believe the trade-in promo will stack w/.

What had leaked previously was $200 off w/ new line and DPP (19.67/mo); this is off the selling price and not 24 bill credits (which you lose if you pay the DPP off early). Presumably they also will also have a trade-in promotion that will stack for additional savings.

Any updates with what's happening with your phone, OP?

This morning I woke up and saw that my phone downloaded the 400+mb update again, and this time I installed it immediately with no issues. I am still perplexed as to why it kept saying that I had an update available but wouldn't let me install it.

I saw this morning that LG is offering for black Friday a free or discounted V20 depending on what phone you trade in. If I read it correctly, the newest phones get the free offer (monthly payments towards the phone over 24 months).

Edit: I meant to say T-Mobile is now having a black Friday sale, not LG. Looks like there might be some good news after all for me and others on the fence with buying the V20 on T-Mobile.

Thank you for the update! I'm glad it installed for you without any problems this time!

Thank you! Even though it wasn't the Nougat update, the battery life is a crap ton better. Overall my G5 feels like it's been running smoother throughout today. For the past month or so it's been starting to get pretty warm and bogging down the more you were running between different programs.

For Verizon at least, need to add "up to" in regards to the $300. Case in point, my G1 gets $0 from Verizon and gets $250 off at BB. Catch is Best Buy after a month STILL does not have any.
