Hello guys,
I am considering buying a V20 and I want to ask about couple of things.
First, I knew that the V20's cam has some issues in still photos and 1080p60fps videos, are these issues solved by any updates yet ? Or are they a hardware issues ?

Secondly, gaming is a very important aspect for me. I heard from some people that the gaming performance is not the best. Is these rumors true ?

Thanks in advance.

There hasn't been much updates for it. I personally haven't had any issues with the camera. The only thing you must struggle with is focus speed in low light (however you can get by with manual mode and adjusting shutter speed). The microphone recording on the V20 is the best you can get, you could probably record professional voice recordings on this.

Gaming performance is excellent. The Snapdragon 820 is still a stellar chip. 4GB of RAM is more than enough. Most Android phones do not need that great of a phone to play, heck my little Moto E 2nd Gen is still good enough to run Need For Speed: No Limits. Since the phone has a removable battery, you can game for hours on end.

Personally, I use my V20 as my main phone, and play games on my ZTE Zmax Pro which has a huge 6' screen, 1080 Display, 8 core Snapdragon with 2GB RAM. The bigger screen gives it a better experience. Plus it's cheap, only $100-$179.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend any LG phone for gaming. LG just seems to do something weird where the performance just isn't on par with some competing flagships. At least that's what I've seen on many reviews. Personally I game via ePSXe so performance is no issue there. Currently playing through FFVIII.

Aside from the focusing issue mentioned above, the only other camera issue I've seen reported is the image quality can be a little off. This is due to the noise reduction that's automatically applied in auto mode. You can easily get around this by switching to manual mode and make sure auto-exposure lock (AE-L button) is turned off. This lets you still take photos the same as in auto mode, only it doesn't apply noise reduction. I shoot manual most of the time unless I need an HDR photo.

Oh, and it has been suggested to turn Steady Record 2.0 off, as that isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Gaming has been great for me. I can run Dead Trigger 2 on maximum settings without a hitch. What happened with a lot of the fittest reviews is the reviewer didn't know game optimization on by default in the battery settings. This throttles gaming performance for longer battery life. If you game a lot and want things to run their best, turn this setting off.
