V20 in Otterbox Defender case dropped FRONT face down on carpet, then REAR camera glass cracked!

Or maybe someone needs to hurry up and discover transparent aluminium of the kind in Star Trek ROFL!!

A few years back, I got me a Galaxy S5... I had the misfortune of 3 with cracked glass in less than 6 months... so understand the paranoia. ????????????????????????

Not sure which would give a worse picture... a cracked lens or a dented one. ;)

Anyone see how many V20s have been sold yet? Any articles?

I seen someone on reddit go by an estimated number on an xda thread regarding the free headphone thread. They are at 22k on the invoice number. I ordered within first half hour and I was number 345.
So We know at least 22k V20s have been sold in US. Not a solid number to go by but at least something. It sure is a Low number considering 1 million plus note 7 holders are /were looking for new phones. 22k is only 2% of prior. Note 7 owners now with a V20 (in the United States) On top of that the LG v20 stock is hit and miss, few and far between at the carriers and online. When they do get the phones it's a few at a time. I talked to an employee at AT&T asking if the V20s flew off the shelves and he said no. Small stock and they trickled out the door slowly

What is going on here? Did LG just make small number of phones or are they being held back to be looked over again. I know it would be hush hush if so. Can you imagine, just a slight wisper of another possible phone issue by a manufacturer? It would be the death of that phone.

Everything I said is speculation, thinking out loud and most likely outright paranoia from my past note 7 stress ......but still something to think about.

Are we sure those numbers aren't by carrier? I ordered around the same time you did and I was 168 on Verizon.

The whole story just sounds fishy to me. Who spends $850 on their phone and gives it over for their coworker to take home for a night?
I was wondering the same thing.

God knows I would never lend even my best friend my phone for an evening ......... the things she'll see may scar her for life haaaaaaa !!!!

I knew that

You have to wait for the replacement phone first from Asurion because a return shipping label comes with it.

She received the replacement V20 yesterday. The stupid FedEx driver TOSSED the box several feet to the front lobby of our office building.

It was a brand new V20 in sealed original box, as if it just came from a Verizon corporate store..... which means all the original accessories were also included.

Does she only need to return the V20 and not the original accessoriess?

Also, Assurion only included a small 4" x 8" brown envelope with one of those labels that say "postage will be paid by addressee" without no tracking number. The instructions says to just drop it in any mailbox. Is that safe? What if gets lost in the mail? :(

Asurian normally does not want accessories or batteries....best bet is to call Ausurian but they usually provide instructions

How about asking her to take a picture of the shattered screen before sending it back?
