V20 unlocked versus the S7 Edge which is the better phone?

You all are crazy. I have been an active Samsung Galaxy guy since the S4. The V20 is a breath of fresh air. Removable battery, camera, no lag, etc.

I can't believe the fan boys. The V20 is an awesome phone so far. Do your research before jumping on the S7 Edge bandwagon. You won't be disappointed!!!

The S7 Edge is almost a year old ( and still an overall better device). There isn't anything left to research lol

Forget the V20. It's almost time for next year's flagships with next year's specs. 😊

No one can tell you which one is "better". It's all subjective. You buy what your requirements are in a premium phone. Some people can live with an LCD display. Some can live without a removable battery or a slightly worse low light camera. It's your decision. There are plenty of reviews out for all of these phones. If everyone liked the same thing, there wouldn't be a need for a dozen different flagship phones.

In regards to camera, the 7E is far better than the V20 for tap and shoot pics. V20 is real good with manual pics, but most people use a phone camera for quick convenience rather than taking time making manual adjustments. Seems LG were lazy with auto modes since perhaps expecting manual to be used.

I would chose the V20 over the Edge due to the flat display (I barely tolerated the Note 7 curve and the Edge is twice as curvy). Still, I prefer my Note 4 over the V20 after updating to MM, resetting to stock and new battery. Not seeing $712 after tax improvement over the Note 4. Prefer the AMOLED display in basic mode (more color accurate than V20 and deeper blacks).

Agreed though that if no Note 4, I would choose the V20 over the 7E. Really really dislike the curve.

Here's the best piece of advice I can give.

Try out the V20 for a couple of days if you can. Use it normally and see how it's like. If you like it, you can choose to keep it and maybe sell the S7e. If not, you can return it and keep using the S7e.

It's hard to simply suggest which phone to pick because everyone has different preferences and usage patterns. So the best thing to do is to simply give it a shot yourself. No one knows your usage pattern better than yourself.

BH photo and amazon itself both sell US unlocked version for the same price but BH offers more freebees with it. IS BH good to order from?

Now I'm reading about the v20 having issues with the camera cracking. Maybe I should look into the iphone 7 plus?

What is it about the s7 edge that you don't want or what is making you look at other devices..especially the i7+

Want a larger device, and I'm bored with the Edge. Iphone 7 plus also better cases and something different to spice things up.

We honestly can't tell you what phone will work for you. This is an Android forum so most will try to steer you away from the iPhone, but if that's what you are leaning towards for whatever reason and it fits your needs then get that. As another poster said you will never find the perfect phone. Coming from the N7, the s7e works for me, but not everyone that came from the N7 felt that way. Go try the phones out and see what works for you.

I had the v20 and the iPhone 7 plus and love the S 7 E much better. Camera was not that great on those other phones.

Iphone 7 plus is supposed to have the best camera. People say the 7 Plus screen compared to the V20 and the S7 edge is trash though. Flossy doesn't like the screen quality on the IPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

I was very disappointed in the camera with the 7 plus. I've had all the previous iPhones and was so surprised how the quality had gotten worse.

If you are basing your decision solely on camera and screen, go with the pixel. Easy. LG historically has not had the best quality control on phones.

I've tested the Pixel XL, S7E, regular S7, IP6s plus, IP7, IP7 plus, and HTC 10.

Of all of the devices, the IP7+ had the best all around camera when you take video quality and photos into account. Each device has it's strong points, but the IP7+ just rocks it in the camera department. On sunny days the second lens is really fun to play with.

I eventually returned the IP7+ because I missed android. IOS is remarkably boring. Yes, everything works well, but the little quirks drove me nuts. I'd advise that if you've been on android and been reasonably happy, stay on android. It keeps getting better and better while IOS remains completely stale.

Out of all the android devices I've had, the best all around for me is the S7E. Beats the Pixel XL in a few departments, but the Pixel is a close second place. The HTC 10 is a beast, but the screen doesn't come close to the S7E or Pixel so it comes in a distant third....

I love the V20. I love using it. I love the build quality, performance, flat screen, camera, audio quality, battery life. I love knowing me, myself, and I can replace the battery. I like the 2nd screen. I like that there is less of a chance of screen burn-in with the LCD display. I had the S7e for a while and it is a nice phone. There can be little doubt to that but I'm liking what LG is doing with their phones more than Samsung I guess.
