V20 Very slow browsing?

After a fresh restart of both devices and background apps closed I can't help but notice how slow the browser is to load web pages in Chrome. I'm using Pixel XL and LG V20.

Can anyone help me to speed up the V20 browsing speed? Thanks in advance. The Pixel XL may take 2-5 seconds to load and the V20 ranges from 5-16 seconds. Huge difference.

It has nothing to do with browsers. Not everyone has the issue. It is WiFi related. Most likely it is an issue with Smart WiFi and location services or 5g (other phones have had this which is why a switch is normally in the settings). I have never preorderd a phone and not had bugs. It's the price you pay for not waiting. It isn't really a pita either. Just keep it on battery saver unless you need gps. Pretty simple. While it is a known issue it isn't wide spread at the moment.

I need gps for google maps which I use every day and to keep phone unlocked when at home using smartlock (assuming vzw v20 even has smartlock) . Location must be accurate for phone to recognize my house and keep screen unlocked when home. On battery saver location not accurate enough to know when I am home.

Speaking of gps, has anyone noticed it not being quite as accurate as it should be? Today was the first time I used to pretty extensively and at times it was jumping around/changing directions even as I sat at a red light. This was in high accuracy mode. It's weird because it locks on extremely quickly and most of the time it's super accurate.

I need gps for google maps which I use every day and to keep phone unlocked when at home using smartlock (assuming vzw v20 even has smartlock) . Right. As I stated, not everyone is having issues, or they just may not have enabled the proper circumstances for it to occur. While I do not feel this is a reason to stop someone from getting the phone or returning it, this is a real bug. It has Ben confirmed by myself and others with Verizon. Verizon and LG even admitted it. They are working on it with LG. They hope to have a fix by the next update. Of course you have to get one of the honest people at Verizon. And it has to be tech support. I have been amazed that they screen tech support now and that you can not get to them directly. I had to get nasty when my second phone did the same thing. They were going to make me go through the whole screening question crap. I refused and said I wanted their name, then a tech support or a supervisor now. The tech guy was fantastic. Super nice and even talked to LG twice while working with me.

Ok great. That's all I need. Somebody told me smart lock was in smart settings and there is no smart settings so I was getting bad info. Thanks for clearing that up for me

Absolutely... I've tried the two on multiple wireless access points as well. It's sporadic. As someone else mentioned it's a known issue and the workaround is listed above.battery saver mode. Toggle WiFi off and back on... Issue gone.

OP have you tried resetting your home router?

Yes. Many times. Been through a couple hours with Verizon and my Internet provider. As u have stated it us a bug. Verizon and LG have acknowledged it. That part is certain. It can be duplicated on other routes, other providers and other locations etc. It is not happening with all. Replacement phone did the same thing.
