I was going to order an iPhone 7 Plus (through AT&T through work), but I'm just not going to spend $500 for an iPhone right now. So, between the V20, 7 Edge or Note 5, which would you pick. I need a larger phone with a good camera and dependability. I can get the Note 5 for quite a bit less than the other two. What would I be giving up? Hopefully, in two years I'll be leaving work and getting my own phone, so I'm pretty open for now. Also, any other suggestions?

Note 5 a great phone except for no expandable memory and USB C. I burned through my memory in like 9 months on the 32gig version.

for me, the pro for the LG20 is expandable memory, a con is no s-pen.

I mean- it's really a toss up. Note 5 has wireless charging...but no expandable memory. LG has a great camera, Note 5 has a great camera bit no wide lens, but night shots are better....see what I mean...

I have the note 5 and thinking about switching to v20 but I'll miss my gear s2 and samsung pay I use every day

I have had both. Recently. I still have a 7 Edge and the V20s. I returned my 64 GB Note 5 and got a 2nd, yes 2nd V20. The Note 5 is stellar piece of kit. I like the V20 better though. Unless you need the S Pen and want the wireless charging get the V20. For me there's no contest between the V20 and 7 Edge but in reality there is. My newish 7 Edge is kinda like a step-phone to me but I'm not so sure why. Is it because of the paint-chipping-off-the-home-button reports? The lack of removable battery? I'm not sure but I just know I like my V20s more.

If you can get a 64GB Note 5 for way way way less than a V20 maybe you jump on that. If you're more of a I-want-the-latest-and-greatest kinda person than the V20 or even 7 Edge may make you happier.

I had the Note 5 and I had the S7 edge loaner after the N7 fiasco and now have the V20. I think I liked the S7 edge better. Perfect size, SD card, water proof and pretty fast and dependable. Has everything I liked about the Note 7 minus Grace UX and S-pen and felt better on the hand.

I haven't had my V20 long enough to really weigh in, but I still favor the display on my Note over the V20. I haven't tried calibrating it yet, but it isn't the same as the AMOLED.

There's pros and cons to each device, I myself can't bring myself to go back to iOS being locked down so I opted to test drive the V20. I do have to say doze mode on Nougat is awesome, the battery lasts forever when idle. And fast charge definitely beats the Sammy unit. USB-C and USB 3.0 is kind of nice to have on the V20 too

I had forgotten the Note 5 was still micro USB.
That's a plus to me. Why would I want to buy all new accessories just so a plug can be inserted upside down? I couldn't care less about usb c. It offers nothing in most cell phones.

Think this video should give you a clue on which one is faster even though they both use the same cpu. The note 5 is already over a year old and will soon be dropped by Samsung in terms of software support. You can try the Pixel XL but it's just as expensive as the Iphone.
