V3 night pics Settings

I just got my Verizon V3 last week. Really liking the phone right now, but was wondering how you guys like it for night time shooting. I took some night shots and they looked horrible. Daytime shots look fantastic.

Has anyone gotten acceptable night shots? What are your settings? Missed out on a great sunset last night due to not having it dialed in.
