If they improve the camera and battery, add Google Daydream and keep the DAC, I might take serious look because it will be a serious contender and the one to beat.

Yes, the ability to skip through music without opening the phone is great. Rumor is that they might do away with it (if I read that right from the link you posted) lets hope!

Not when the next iPhone will be coming out around the same time as the V30, and the next Pixel shortly after that.

I guess if there are any preorder goodies worth an early jump, but would rather get what I really want. I'm wondering what the LG/Pixel will have.

It would be nice to get the XL2 if was equal or better feature wise to the V30 because of the Google updates. The cameras will probably be different and even if V30 keeps the DAC I'm certain it won't be in the XL2

That and the wide angle lens. I love it on my daughter's G6

That's what I meant by different camera. I don't know if Pixel will have twin cams.
