V30 expected pre-order launch in US on September 17, before going on sale on September 28

It disturbs me that the DAC has not been mentioned in any real leaks.

I take it back.....the articles mentions. "That the V30 is expected
to be a camera and multimedia powerhouse, with rumors suggesting that the G6’s dual 13MP camera array, dedicated DAC and excellent video controls will also likely make a return."

Yeah I seen that too. It seems they kinda skimmed by the DAC quickly without solid details.

Even though the V30 seems to be omitting some key features people have come to like in the V series, I hope it brings a solid offering to the table. So far it seems to be.

6 inch screen....but of course 6 inch in the new format is not the same.

Well unfortunately the removable battery was doomed since LG faced the harsh reality that they had to play follow the leader. The market calls for water resitance, wireless charging and the dastardly glass so it is what is. I would have preferred a nice grippy Kevlar back but it just isn't as pretty so we know how that story goes.

Honestly I haven't even bought my daughter a wireless charging pad yet lol. I remember a year or 2 back when everyone was squawking about having wireless charging and premium materials. I guess this is the phone manufactures idea of premium lol

I love the feel of glass but the practicality of it is a bit frightful.

So who's gonna pre order? Personally I've moved away from preordering. I like to hold and try out a phone first.

Not to mention the fantastic deal I got on the G6 for waiting just a couple weeks.

Honestly, with how fast the prices drop on LG phones both new and used, it would absolutely be worth it to wait 3 to 6 months to buy one. Obviously not everyone is going to want to do this, but if you have a solid phone already imo it would be worth it to save four hundred bucks.

I've decided to go this route since i already have a v20. If the v30 turns out to be an awesome phone I'll pick one up used for $300 in six months and still get to keep my v20 for a backup.
