I have Chomp set as my default messaging app, have used it for a few years now but I keep getting random incoming text messages and reply messages that are on the stock app. Any way to stop the stock LG messaging app? I already have Chomp set as default.

Have you tried going into Settings -> Apps -> tap the menu button top right and tap Configure Apps -> then tap Messaging and choose the default there? Also, you can go into Settings -> Apps -> Messaging -> Open By Default -> tap Clear Defaults. See if that helps. The option to disable the app entirely is greyed out but if these steps don't work you can try turning off it's access to mobile data and do a test to see if messages still come through on it.

Thank you for the suggestions, I'll try them. Thanks again.
