just upgraded to a moto x online through Verizon and paid an extra $30 dollars to only commit to a 1 year contract.

off topic: I called Verizon to upgrade and was told over the phone that they only had red ones, I said this was impossible, but I was assured they only have red ones... tried to order a custom black one through Moto-maker, and it turns out we can't use Moto-maker on business accounts. When I asked about the red only comment, I was told by Motorola support that they couldn't help me because they didn't know what Verizon had.

Wow... That sucks... I don't understand why business accounts can't upgrade

Any idea if non-business accounts can do 1 year contracts?

VERY frustrating that a lot of us have waited for Motomaker and then we find out no dice for business accounts and they wont give a good reason why.

I found out by logging in online and going through the upgrade processes.

There's a drop down menu where you can choose 1 or 2 years

I did a little more digging into this. I thought maybe 1 year contracts had come back for "regular" accounts. They haven't. It looks like the one year deal is purely for business accounts.
