Verizon announced 5g in Kansas City would rollout in 2019 but never happened. Any idea when verizon will launch 5g in k c?

Depends on how you define rollout.
The Verizon site shows some coverage for Kansas City already but like everywhere else its sparse. The east and west coast major cities don't have decent coverage yet and I have yet to see anywhere that does. There doesnt seem a lot of information out there except bragging about who has the best 5G.

5g won't be a true thing for a few years. Yeah there will be a block here or there that has it.. but for it to be like LTE.. years.

I posted this before and needs reposting again. Just like the analog to hybrid analog-digital to full digital transitional buildout from years ago... it took a few YEARS for digital to completely replace analog. in fact, in many areas of the West and elsewhere, Analog was the much stronger signal. Unless you live and work in a 5G area and don't move much, LTE, provided you receive a decent signal, will be very good for a number of years to come.

I was not aware there was any verizon 5G on in kc. ill check it out. Thanks for the response!

This is why I've been saying don't spend extra for a 5G phone for a couple years at least. It'll be awhile for decent 5G service

While I agree, the S20 Ultra probably wouldnt cost much less without 5G and looks to have a potentially amazing camera.
I am surprised that Samsung did not off any non 5G versions. The added cost for a 5G phone seems like a waste in 2020. I doubt there will be any advantages or real 5G use cases until 2023 or 24.

Why wouldn't they? It's a big marketing buzzword.

It's my understanding that non 5G models aren't being released in the US. That could change but we don't know for sure.
