Verizon call quality fix!!! Finally

What do you get after you enter the 000000? Do you get any kind of menu?

No menu after 000000 a little box flashes briefly that says correct then disappears and just goes back to dialer screen I have tried many times and same thing happen. tried 3 times last night and 3 times just now .

Hmmmmm. That's odd. I wonder if the ROM has anything to do with it. I'm completely stock with some exposed mods. You might try doing a nandroid backup, and flashing back to stock to see if you can access the menu afterwards. Then you could simply restore your backup and be good to go.

Sorry, I don't know. In any case, the 12B update fixed this issue for almost everybody, I believe.

Yeah, that's why I wanted to make sure I'm on the stock settings (or go back if necessary). Could someone who hasn't modified these settings check and let me know? Thanks.

Mine is set to:

Home Page SO - Wild Card
Home Orig.SO - 8K EVRC
Roam Orig.SO - 8K EVRC

I've not modified them in any way, so that should be the stock settings or at least the settings with the most recent update. Hope that helps.

Well I tried the fix and it seemed to help a great deal, but selecting 13K QCELP and not the Wildcard worked best for me. Since I'm not sure I'm permitted to post links to other sites, let me simply say that if you search for "Verizon 13K QCELP", there are sites that explain why this mode typically offers better voice quality and why Verizon and others have elected not to use it. The problem really must lie, however, with LG's Qualcomm modem because my wife's Moto X sounds great using 8K EVRC and still has better phone quality than my LG G2 even with 13K QCELP. I think my phone will at least be usable as a phone now and for that I'm very grateful.

Take the 12B update and the entire issue goes away.

Hey so does anyone know the best settings for the modem? Im in California and have been having problems with people hearing me on my lg g2.

I tried typing ##program980 on my dialer and hit dial to start the call but all I get is a fast busy signal. . What am I doing wrong?

You must be on a stock(ish) ROM to do this, it will not work on any aftermarket ROM.

This should be irrelevant though, it was significantly improved in the 12B radios, and I haven't heard of anyone complaining or having issues in the 24A ROM.

I could never get the service codes to work until today, when I installed KK Launcher on the play store. Now the secret menu works, as does a test menu. Type ##228378, It's for the G3 and looks like technical stuff I didn't want to mess with.
