Not trying to sound like a dick or anything, but you aren't serious right? Verizon wouldn't t announce this, Apple would. Plus, no 4G LTE for the iPhone 5, the 6th for sure though. AT&T kinda already confirmed no 4G iPhone till next year.

I just want to know it is confirmed to be Android related, because it could be the new Blackberry Bold or if it is, the HTC Bliss.

I got this text from VZW this morning:

"Be among the first 100 customers to visit our Wireless Communications Store at 7215 Dodge Street on August 18, and receive a special candy bar with a "Golden Ticket" for a chance to win a FREE 4G LTE DROID Charge by Samsung Smartphone. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to legal U.S. residents 18 years of age. Void where prohibited."

Something's going on and I will be there before they open for my chance at a "Golden Ticket"! Who doesn't like a good Charlie and the Chocolate Facory type giveaway. I'd probably just sell the Charge anyway but it could be a nice filler phone until the Bionic gets released. LTE gets switched on the 18th here as well. Can't wait either way!

You wont need a sim since it will only be 3g.

I can assure you that the GSII WILL be LTE....
But now I've fallen into a weird boat.

I love my Droid Charge, but I've been having a BLAST helping people set up their Droid 3s. The new Motoblur is fun!!!
ALSO, the same goes for the Revolution!!! It doesn't have the best screen but it's NICE!

So far, the only manufacturer's phones that I don't particularly enjoy playing with is HTC, so the Vigor can suck on it.

So now I'm in a quandary.
I don't have an upgrade until 2013, but that doesn't really matter cause like I said....I love my Charge. I have no intention of ever getting rid of it. That's just how I am.

We don't need to dissect your post. Go back and reread it. It does not come off as friendly. I would guess a random user (i.e., me) would read the post and probably be like "wow, that was a bit unnecessary" - which is exactly what happened. Regardless, whatever.

I have no clue who you are. I don't know if anyone else does, but some random person with what 20 posts on AC who says "it WILL" have LTE probably won't meant a lot to many people. Maybe you're some super-sweet insider. I don't know, but person A "assuring" us that it will have LTE is about as good as person B "expressing popular regurgitated rumor".

Hope this helps you understand what the rest of us are probably thinking.

Yes vigor is rumored to have lte. Also if the roadmap holds true you would only have to wait another month to get it since it was rumored to be coming in oct.

I HONESTLY don't believe the Galaxy S II will be 4G. If it's only 3G then it's OFF my radar.
