Verizon employee discount question??

Hi I'm new on here. and been searching around my problem but didn't find any right answers yet. So i started this thread and hope it's in the right section.
I get 17% discount on my verizon plan with the htc rezound. my problem is i don't understand why do they only take off the 17% on my talk plan only. i thought the 17% off must be affected on the whole plan (talk+text+data) i got the 500talk+250text+4gb data.

That's just how it works. Depending on where you work, discounts are different. Yours must be for the voice plan only.

There's hundreds, maybe even thousands of different employer and group codes out there. The discounts vary tremendously in all sorts of ways. In my case, my employer does offer percentage off on voice and data, but not on messaging. See what you can qualify for - often you just need an email belonging to a group to verify your credentials.

Maybe try to change to a higher data plan to see if the discount sticks. If it does, then in your situation, it may only apply to higher data plans. you can always call and ask the terms as well, which would be the cheaper way, but sometimes...they aren't the most knowledgable.
