The phone specs and hardware are the same. It is only available to employees. I no longer work for Verizon, so I can sell it. They are pretty rare.
But the employee edition is Red and numbered (#406), and comes with the original packaging and the fat boy wireless charger. I can send pics of the items, if you are interested.

The biggest difference is that unless you are an employee, you cannot activate the phone. And if you want to remain an employee, you cannot sell it. I've heard of terminations of sellers.

Edit- I just saw you no longer work for VZW.

You can activate it even if you are not an employee. I de-activated it. And then weeks later moved it to my wife's line. And I was not an employee at the time...
