I believe I saw somewhere it's about 140mb update? If so then too small and only the monthly update.

Does anybody know when verizon will be doing the pie update for note 8. I think my father got the pie update on his but it's a s9+ and I haven't really been able to look at it he just said he noticed a few icons changed.

First ever update, OS or security... FAILED on VZ. Very weird! Everything seemed to load well, rebooted, then opened browser, received notification that the update had a 410 error code. Called VZ, conference call with Samsung... I went to Ubreakit, they did an Update wired to phone, FAILED again. Note 8 had been running perfectly.

My Note 8 has been acting weird too since this latest update. Somewhat sluggish, dropping calls, just weird, but was fine before the update. I'm hoping that Pie will come soon and fix it lol.

You should always do a cache clear after any update. From the recovery screen not just a settings cache clear

After having the failure to update as posted earlier, Verizon stepped up and sent me a Certified Warranty Replacement Note 9 to replace my Note 8, even after clear cache partition tries. VZ Tier 2 supervisor told me that some Note 8's were being corrupted by the recent Security Update. VZ stepped up nicely, at no extra charge.
