Suddenly this phone is dialing out to some of the recent calls.

Twice it happened while I was checking settings. So, I thought I had hit something by mistake.

But, then, it started calling out without me touching anything. The screen changing just happened to catch my eye.

Any ideas on what might have changed?

There's no App that makes automated outgoing calls, right? ...or keeps calling a number regularly if there was no answer originally?

Apart from installing a virus checker I'd install CatLog and Log cat or similar and look at the Andoid log.

Install Call Confirm too. It creates an extra step to dial out.

Good idea. I used to use that and in my opinion "http://www.appbrain.com/app/tiny-call-confirm/com.perracolabs.tcc" is better (it displays custom phone types for starters) :-)

What exactly is it dialing out?

If its a code type (like #29292# or something) then it's just calling the tower to update the PRL list. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks, all.

It was actually calling some of the people from the 'recently called' list.

After a while it stopped doing it. But, I still have no idea why.

Typical!
