My wifi has become unstable after the last update.

I have tried clearing cache and other things I found on the Internet.

Does anyone have a known solution?

Re: Galaxy Note 2 Wifi Totally Unstable After Update

Have you actually experienced instability or or you just getting a message that your connection is unstable?

I had my phone on the 5ghz radio and would get a crappy connection unless I was right next to the ap. I switched it to the 2.4 GHz radio and all is good now. Fast and can go all around the outside of the house and not have a problem. Check to make sure your on the 2.4 GHz and if not change it to that and see if that works.

Actually I fixed a similar issue by going into my WiFi settings, long press on my home network then switch from dynamic to static under ip settings. Cheers.

mine is working just fine.

i have no idea how to change the things you guys are changing. or even where to look.

What did was go into settings of my WiFi home network and changed from dynamic to static and then I stopped getting megs about my WiFi connection being unsecured. Hope this helps.

oh. your talking about wifi. ROFL.

i was thinking of hotspot. guess i'll have to test it IF and WHEN i get back home.

I reset the phone to factory. Still no joy.

So from what I am reading here, it is working to not have DHCP for the IP address for the phone?

Same issue here, so pissed. My phone has been great ever since i purchased it, then this ****ty samsung update, WTF!

I had the same trouble and found that since the update my phone had changed to the 4G network so I changed the setting in my phone: Settings\ More networks\Mobile Networks\Network Operators/search then change back to the listed 3G now it works fine.
