Verizon Galaxy S3 - car radio blue tooth phonebook transfer

have a new car radio, a Sony MEX BT4100P. the devices pair ok, then I get a msg on the s3 which says "is it ok to transfer the phonebook?" I hit yes. the blue tooth works perfect on an incoming call. when I attempt to access the phonebook on the radio to call out, I get this msg: "no suprt". what else do I need to do on the s3 to get the phonebook to transfer?
