Verizon Galaxy S4: Bootloader and roms

I just wanted to know how to install a new room on my Verizon galaxy s4. I have already rooted my device but I wanted to know if i need to unlock my bootloader as well in order to install my rom? I have not found any clear information on this subject, so I figured I would ask this community. What roms do youll suggest as well?

What Android version are you on? You'll have to unlock the bootloader either way, but if you're on 4.3, flashing ROMs is really difficult

Shouldn't be all that difficult is your willing to read a little first. You will want to get safestrap

IMO if you can root you can flash
