Verizon galaxy s7 randomly switches itself to another carrier

Every once in awhile my phone just says no data connection. I have to go to settings, connections, mobile networks, Network operators and manually switch it back to Verizon Wireless. That always fixes the problem. But how do I stop it from happening? Is there a patch or something?
