Verizon: Galaxy S9/S9+ Official Pre-Order Thread

If you're not on UP, the device will ship by 3/14 and arrive 3/16. You won't receive a device on the 18th, which is a Sunday.

Strange. I preordered on 3/2. I had an email and a text this morning that my phone shipped. The email says the expected delivery date is 3/16 but FedEx tracking shows scheduled delivery for this Wed. 3/14. Hope it's Wednesday, lol.

I'm loving mine so far. I installed a glass screen protector and it was horrible. Miss touches and not very good at all. I'm going to use it with just a case for a while. I've never been a huge fan of screen protectors anyways. I'm currently looking for some free themes to install. Does anyone know if there are any free ones on Google play?

I got my S9 today; haven't set it up yet because I'm at work. but I did take a look at it and wow what a premium feeling device; I'm coming from a S7 Edge and I'm glad I got this one. I didn't need a big phone like the S9 Plus (was afraid of reach-ability), but I expected the S9 to be larger than my S7 Edge, and it's actually thinner and slightly shorter it seems. And feels great in the hand.

I also had the S7Edge - back when the Note 7 was recalled twice. Not a bad device, but mine did have a few quirks here and there. Glad you're enjoying the S9. Anything special you like about it in particular? I'm tracking mine and REALLY hoping to get it before work, not after darn it. lol.

I had the v30. It is an amazing phone also, but a little slim and light for me. I like just a little bit heavier phone, feels quality to me! This plus is incredible so far!!

This s9 feels much better in the hand than an s7 edge, to me at least! Night and day!!

I was just told that the S9 is not available for annual Upgrade and that now only iPhones are eligible. It was over chat but I'm going to call to verify here is the screenshot.

I tried responding to your post but I accidentally posted on the main thread anyway have a look here. This is after talking to Verizon representative on chat and on their 800 number. After that I called to local Verizon corporate stores. The corporate stores didn't know anything about the iPhone part that they did verify they got an email from corporate saying the S9 will not be upgraded eligible device. Other than that they couldn't tell me why.

I am trying to get a straight answer out of Verizon about the S9 promos and whether it would be eligible for the Annual Upgrade Program when the S10 comes out. Agent basically hung up on me when she could not answer the question. I want to be sure that the S9/S9+ will be eligible for the upgrade program so can anyone verify this?

Apparently I'm having a brain dead day today. I guess that's what being on the phone and chat all morning with Verizon does to you LOL. I double posted and I still didn't quote your post anyway have a look at this.

I love that it has a thin frame with a large screen, which makes it feel good in the hand. It sucks that the battery is smaller than my S7 Edge, but I can deal with that. Now I just need to buy some USB C adapters for my old cables.

I have a Trade-in question: I am trading in my old S6 to Verizon. I was told when I placed my order that I would get a box to send in my old phone. But I didn't get a box. Does this come separately or later? Should I be concerned and call CS about it?
