Verizon Galaxy Tab

Best deal, short term is the Sprint Tab. It's $399 with a 2GB plan for $30.00/mo

I'd rather buy the thing on contract to be honest because the $30.00/mo you won't even notice.

T-mobile has it for the same price but for $25/mo you only get 200mb.

This will work good for you, but where I live, I get little to no T-Mobile signal. I'll go with $599.00 and 1 month of service before I buy a T-mobile tab.

If you go the T-Mobile route your total cost after 2 years is $399 + ($30.00*24 months) = $399 + $720 = $1119.00

Just my $.02

I see the benefit of having no contract. But assuming I buy off contract and keep the plan it still ends up costing more. I could tether to my phone wirelessly but I see it becoming a burden after some time?

I dunno, I know what is cheaper but the way I see it, I'd rather get the device for $400 now and pay $30/mo then be off contract. If I went off contract $30/mo for data isn't much and it's something I'd get anyway.

Anyone looked at the insurance for this device? If you bought the Equipment Protection (WPP) for Tablets, the deductible is, get this...

$39129!

For a $600 Tablet that's unsubsidized.

Here's the link.

FYI : BBurg_16827
I purchased 3 year extended warranty including Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) Protection with SquareTrade for a flat $119.
Pro: There is no deductible like there is from Verizon ($75) and equals to 18 mthly payments. When I sell the unit in future this warranty is still able to carry to new owner which is a plus for the buyer.
Con: a lot of money upfront
