Whats the good word on Verizon allowing google wallet on this phone?

I'm curious as well... Verizon would kill Google Wallet if they had an exclusive on this device and then not allowed it.

My understanding is if Pure ICS is used, all the features of the phone will be available to us, regardless of the carrier.

Right... but the Regular Nexus S does not have this feature without hacking.

Google Wallet will be on the device.

HOWEVER Verizon has no deal to work with it, its deal is with Iris......

The plot thickens......


However it works out, the NFC means we get mobile payments someway

I'm calling it right now. Verizon's Nexus will NOT ship with Google Wallet. And its not just Verizon... why do you think T-Mobile's Nexus S is lacking Google Wallet? Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile are all partners in Isis, which is why you only see Google Wallet on Sprint's Nexus S.

I kinda hope it does come with it. A lot of stores in NYC are supporting Google Wallet.

But it wont happen sadly. Regardless, it's no deal breaker for me.

If it does not come with Google Wallet, we will without a doubt get it on there. I would not worry about this at all. But considering Verizon loves Iris I highly doubt it will ship with it. Not to worry though it'll be on there either way I'm sure. After all, what's the point of getting a Nexus without doing a little hacking on it!

Isn't Google Wallet installable ffrom the Android Market? If it is, then the Galaxy Nexus should be able to install it, unless of course Verizon is actively going to block the Nexus from ddoing that.
