No. Every year for the last few years sometime around the first or second week in february, you sign up for the gift card by giving them your phone number. Then if you upgrade on that phone number any time until 12/31, you get a $50 gc or in store $50 off the price of the phone.

Now that I am thinking about this, since you have to sign up by phone number, the only way the a new line could qualify for the gc is if you were porting the number you signed up with from another carrier. If you were getting a new number, then there would have been no way to sign up for the gc ahead of time since it is done by phone number.

Hopefully they will do it again this year.
