Hey everybody, I am kind of new to this whole android technical stuff. I had rooted my phone with one click root no issues, very easy. Thanks to Beanstown106!

I then installed cwm custom recovery. But of course my curiosity went even further and I installed hyperdrive custom rom. I had no issues with this rom what so ever.
(I also made sure my bootloader was unlocked using ez-unlock)

Now when I flashed my phone back to factory settings using odin v.3.07 the phone worked great no problems. I enjoyed the custom feel so much I decided to go back to hyperdrive again, this time after install it went to boot then shut down. I get nothing it wont even accept a wall charger. (I did reroot too before reinstalling the custom hyperdrive)

So basically my question is this. All of you are a lot more advanced then I am in this area and I want to know your advice on this method. I ran across this link Unbrick HARD BRICKED Galaxy S 3 on Verizon (i535, CDMA) - YouTube
Now he states you MUST HAVE A CLASS 10 sd card to write the debrick image.

After brainstorming and saving $20 bucks can I change the write speed enough using sd speed increase app from the play store?

Or if anyone has any other ideas out there it would be greatly appreciated. I am in no way interested in paying for jtag service. There is way to many smart folk out there like yourselves to figure out some way to fix a hard bricked phone without paying out the pocket.

Have you tried buying a usb jig that puts your phone into download mode from mobile tech videos I bought one for 8 dollars and it is a life saver

I have thought about that after I seen it online. But I was hesitant because someone said it wont resurrect a hard brick, only a soft bricked.

From your experience will it work? Because $8 is a whole lot better than $60

Thanks....

It might help you out sometimes you get lucky and are able to use one to ressurect a hard brick if that doesn't work then it's JTAG service or lie to your carrier about your phone

I don't know how people expect to get anywhere when they can't even use the terminology correctly - the guy in that video is talking about recovering from a 'hard brick' situation yet the method totally involves 'soft brick' solutions: if the phone boots into Safe mode, Recovery mode or Download mode (whether using the custom key combinations or using a JIG) then in reality the phone is only soft bricked.

When the damn thing won't turn on under any circumstances then it's hard bricked, and if you're fortunate someone with JTAG hardware/software MAY be able to still recover it. Do a Google search if you want the full story, but basically JTAG provides power to the mainboard and tries to rewrite the flash part directly.

Edit: BTW, a JIG may be handy when the phone seems to start the boot process but you just can't seem to get into Download mode - it pretty much guarantees that if the phone still has the capability to get into Download mode then that's what'll happen.

I was completely hard bricked. I could not even get a charger to connect. It did nothing. No recovery no download mode, nothing. So I went and bought a class 10 sd card wrote the debrick image file and it powered my phone up to get to download mode. Then I went and got my stock firmware and flashed back with odin. Screw that jtag racket concerning the verizon U.S gs3 because I'm typing this using my verizon gs3 without sending my phone in and paying someone $60. This method truly does work with hard bricked verizon. Because like I said I could do absolutely nothing, zilch zero notta....

how do i get the stock verizon rom
If you're looking for 4.1.2 MF1, you can find it on Sammobile (you'll have to register in order to be able to download it). You'll have to flash it using Odin on a PC.

dude take my advice...I have a thorough understanding of the boot loader operations and the android os...this method doesn't work if you have a hard bricked device. By hard bricked I mean that the device does absolutely nothing, no download mode and not being recognized by odin or your computer. The only way to fix this is with a JTAG interface because you have to emulate the binary code that allows for flashing of the actual semi-conductor on the system board...just like a bios flash. Essentially, you have either corrupted or deleted that binary code so the instruction you give the device by pushing buttons has no meaning to the electrical components. I have seen the small dongle that plugs in to the mini usb port work but I wouldnt waste my time with that because you still have to reflash the bootloader after you flash the os.

and if the file did in fact work for you...send it to me dude because the file I have did nothing and I got it from the description in this exact video...

My GS3 will boot into only recovery, download or I get the yellow triangle screen from Verizon, does anyone know how to fix that? I have tried simply flashing the stock rom and it doesnt work

Lovely video sir , I really appreciat
However I have 3 questions
1.How to make a debrick image? cause I have same problem on a Galaxy S duos GT-S7562 India..(Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 - Full phone specifications)
2.Also if my phone is not responding to any ke combinations, will it still boot if I put a class 10 card with debricking image?
3.My Phone size is 4Gb however I have a card of 32 GB class 10.. Will It work? Trial can damage my phone more?

you, sir, have no idea what your talking about... a Samsung device boots from one source to the other until it boots... that's why writing the image to the sdcard works... the sdcard becomes the bootloader basically... that's also why the jig works. it has the image, and then some, on it.

I tried the micros sd class 10 16gb method and it didn't work for me. I been trying to use qpst or emmc software but keep getting error or don't have all the files to do it. I found a guy on ebay that does jtag and all the comments seem to be pleased with their services for $20. I might have to send mine in.

I'm in the same boat, I'm new at this, but got it down for the most, made a custom rom, Ive rooted a few phones, My note 2, my Lg Volt, F3 and and Echo, well I tried with this S3 i acquired, id got it rooted but wanted to flash in a recovery and new rom, but the bootloader wasnt unlocked, hadn't dealt with that issue before, tried that stupid app, Ez-Unlock, worked fast, said success, rebooted and..........Nothing. I get a red light if the battery is out and I plug it in the computer, thats it, so i ordered the stupid jig dongle thing, garbage, glad it was $2 or someone would be getting there teeth kicked in, I really dont want to send it out for Jtag its not my daily phone, and it was free, someone gave it to me, was just going to use it for messing around on, Music, apps etc.... Guess Ill hit WallyWorld tomorrow and try the 16gb class 10 sd card, heard a few people say that works, are there any other options? This is my first post to Android Central or any forum on androids, I wanna say, ive noticed the admin or people running a thread "not here particularly", really seem to have a sense of entitlement and talk crap to people asking questions, what is that all about? They know how to root a phone and run a little code and script so they have to belittle everyone starting out with this, we all start at some point, people ask questions here because they respect your advice and are asking for it,, so you really shouldn't come at them with grammar correction or name calling.Don't be a **** to people that just want your help. That being said, sorry, rant over, just been seing treatment like that a lot, and only on android forums, but if there is a way to fix my phone id like to know, or if not, is there a forum you can direct me to that may have a thread on phones for sale? Cheers in advance and thanks, (None of that rant was directed towards anyone in particular. "UpThePunx!!!"
