Well, my expected ship date for my Verizon GS3 WAS 07/09/2012... but now, I'm not so sure. Due to some potential fraudulent activity on my credit card, the credit card company recommended that the card number be closed and a new card shipped out. I received the new card, today, and was busy going online to change all of my credit card information, and then I thought about my GS3 pre-order.
I attempted to change my credit card information, online, but there was no option to do that, so I called Verizon Wireless customer service. They, too, were NOT able to change my credit card information. The customer service representative said that he would have to cancel my order and re-order it!!! Of course, I protested because I did not want to lose my place at the front of the pre-order line, and so I asked him if there was anything else I could do to get the phone without further delay.
He stated that once the status of the pre-order became "pending", then I would be able to call and change my credit card information without canceling. However, I would have to do it within a day or so after the order became "pending" because it would be canceled if the funds were declined.
He had no idea when that would happen. He was looking into the system to see if he could tell when the phone was going to be released. All that he could see was that some "locations" (not sure if that was store locations or warehouse locations) were starting to get stock. He recommended that I start calling on July 5th (only because that was a few days before the 9th) to see if the order had changed to pending.
