Verizon HTC 10 Oreo Update Available

About 25 mins to apply update for me. So far so good.

I'm in Chattanooga and mine updated yesterday afternoon. Took about the same time. My battery has been draining like crazy. Wiped cache partition but no change yet. Hoping it gets better.

I just did the update. It seems a little zippier maybe? I do find that it keeps playing the notification sound now every time it looks for locations and then when it finds it, Since it does this all the time its a bit annoying and misrepresenting. I turned this notification off but still every app that runs now causes this to happen if it has location authority. Cant wait till this stupid thing wakes me up all night long. Way to go Verizon...Every time it checks mail, weather, whatever beep....beep....Any thoughts beyond turning off location services forever?

I think I fixed it. If you press on the notification it takes you to a place to turn off. Select VZW and change to medium, no sound.

My phone just downloaded the Oreo 8.0 update for Verizon HTC 10. I will install after work, let you know how it goes!

I can't get the picture in picture feature to work... supposedly all you have to do is tap the home button? I tried this in whatsapp and also youtube... no go.

Also, the icons are all rounded, and on the HTC, I cant seem to find how to change them to square...?

I'm not sure I understand your instructions to turn this off. I don't see where to select VZW when I select the "system ui location found" notification. any further clarification is greatly appreciated. Thank you

When the system ui location icon pops up, do a long hold on it to bring up the notifications window. You should see vzw midway down on the screen.
