Verizon - installed OTA update, will towel root work?

Uhh I accidentally hit "install now" to the OTA update. Anything I can do to stop it? I did a battery pull….

If i let it install, can you towel root?

And what do you do after you root?

Depending on when the kernel was built. If it was built after June 2 (I think that is the exact date) then Towelroot will not work.

Honestly, I am not sure. Before Knox, I would say yes. Now that is there, I really don't know.

no!!!! it will not work. I had to find the stock rom and flash it via odin. after that i had to re root using towelroot.

Try flashing su zip. Should work regardless of new ota update

Alternately you can do the following.
Why not just take the Ota then reroot? If you want to root your phone and want to keep it working you have to go through the trouble to do it. It's not difficult take the Ota flash the old kernel root and flash the new kernel...... Viola updated AND root
