Verizon Insurance, or Square Trade?

I had a Square Trade policy on my LG G4 when I bought it at Costco. Unfortunately the Costco Phone Kiosk will not be carrying the Pixel, so will probably just get it through Verizon.
I put a case on my G4 and while I'm pretty careful with my phone, I did drop it a few times, but never damaged the screen (no screen protector).
I plan on getting a case for the Pixel 6 Pro, but seems like the screen protector is hard to find a problem free one that fits the Pro curved screen.
Is the mid tier Verizon Protection plan a good option compared to Square Trade when you have to make a claim? Is Geek Squad any better/worse?
Thanks!

I don't know your whole situation, but you could also buy it through the Google store if that's an option. Just FYI - their coverage is $9/month for the Pro. I forgot their deductibles though.

With regard to screen protectors, I finally broke down and bought the Whitestone Dome. Should have just bought it to begin with. In my case, the FPS seems to have become a little less sensitive but many people on here have reported that it works just fine.

Hope that helps a little. Hopefully, someone with Verizon and/or Square Trade takes it from here!

I would also note, if you purchased your phone via a Visa card (might be true for other cards too) some offer accidental damage coverage and extended warranty.
Example, my WF visa offers accidental coverage insurance for free, all I have to do to qualify is to pay my cell phone bill via their card. It only covers up to $600 but being free not a bad deal. And I actually used it seven years ago, when they paid to replace my Droid Razr that was shattered when I fell off a cliff in Moab UT. BC/BS paid for my arm.

Also, most visa cards will extend a warranty, for a maximum up to one extra year. That is applicable to either my Amazon Prime Visa or my WF visa.

Asurion/Verizon worked for me with a cracked screen. $29 bring it to Ubreak and three hours later fixed. I'm not sure how Asurion is with damage to the rest of the phone if they send replacement or what. Screen replacement wasn't bad though.

Well Just Damn! We've been paying $18 a month for Google insurance coverage for years for our two Google phones! And we also have a Wells Fargo VISA Signature card.

I just called Wells Fargo and they verified that I have full cell phone coverage if our Google Fi bill is paid with our VISA card. It even covers loss/theft which Google doesn't cover! We're on Google Fi auto pay with our WF VISA. I'm immediately cancelling my Google Insurance!

Thank You RETG!

I'll have to remember this if I ever want to tell you to go jump off a cliff -- you'd be like, "Been there, done that.":p

Had to think a moment. Good one.

Aside - some AMEX cards have phone coverage too.
