Verizon jacked my phone

I took my phone to Verizon because I was having problems with the GPS. The tech said that doing a factory reset should resolve my problem. Long story short the phone does not even boot up any more. It gets stuck on a screen that asks to reboot phone or load flash from sd card. Is there any way for me to get around this screen and reload the stock software. I got an iPhone to replace this one however, I'm really missing my old phone. Any help would be appreciated.
