Verizon LG G2 - Stock Email Issues

Hi, Im using hotmail through the stock email app. It doesnt refresh every 15 minutes like its supposed to, so I get a bunch of emails every hour or so. Also, when I hit refresh, it takes about 45 seconds to a whole minute to do so. If I go into an individual email and click on "load full message", it also takes about 45 seconds to a whole minute to load the email as well. Other times, it will just say "failed". Anyone else having these problems? Note: I have strong signal strength when having these problems. Thanks.
