Verizon LG optimus slider - Won't reboot to recovery

Tried the clockworkmod recovery, and when I click "reboot to recovery", it reboots, but just back to my main screen.

Try doing the reboot to recovery shown online (hold vol down, home, & power) and the same thing, reboots, but just to the main screen.


I've followed the instructions in this forum & others to root it, which seems to have worked (I can use apps that require rooting) but I can't find a root folder on the SD card?.

I wanted to install gingerkernel, but I can't, because when it gets to the step "reboot to recovery", I can't.

Anybody know why I can't get to recovery? I want to back up my phone before I play with it too much, but my phone is not responding to the simple online instructions seen in youtube videos or proposed on this forum..

Installed quick boot, & its the same thing. click "boot to recovery", and it just reboots to the main home screen.

Nevermind, went balls to the wall and stopped caring if I turned it into a $200 paperweight, finally got it to work.
