Verizon "list price" policy?

Does anyone know if VZW ever lowers the full price of phones when newer models come out? I'd like to purchase a Razr maxx from vzw but $650 for an old phone is kind of steep. Will that price drop when razr hd comes out or will they just take the maxx off the shelves?

They just take the razor off the shelves. It won't be listed in the online store soon after reaching EOL.

If you absolutely must buy a phone off contract I recommend Amazon or Ebay. You can find some new there for cheaper than Verizon charges.

I wouldn't think so considering they still sell the tbolt and the Inc 2. Not sure what retail is on them. The bolt is a year and a half old almost and the Inc 4G is out now.

I agree....I just don't know if they drop the price. I know best buy does not. No idea why not.

You can buy a cpo with full one year warranty and no contract on select phones at substantial discount, but you would have to call in to or buy in store.

You have to call them, the info is not posted online. And yes, no contract. When I checked, it was at around 50-75% of full retail.

Yeah, selection can vary, depending on their stock. You can call back every once in a while to check.
