Verizon loses 36K net postpaid phone subs in disappointing Q3

I am very familiar with Project fi. I am a Google fiber customer and priced out fi. Does not meet our needs ad would be More expensive. I get a good Corporate discount for Verizon. Plus again I don't want to buy new phones to switch plans.

Recently started warming up to the idea of trying Verizon but still not sure. The price plans on att aren't very competitive and that's one area Verizon seems to have gotten right with the new single line plan.

Then I read how Verizon is treating unlimited customers so it brings on more reservation. Hopefully att will update the plans soon.

I'm in the same boat except I'm with Verizon and wish us cellular would come out with a decent plan. They all have this device payment plan for phones now, not sure who first came out with that, but every carrier seen that they were the winner on that one and they still are laughing all the way to the bank.

Verizon has been doing nothing but taking things away. Recently they just yanked 2 year contract away from ones that were on the plans that allowed them. As you said they are targeting the unlimited data users, even after the $20 month increase. Verizon feels they are the best and they are not afraid to do what they want, after all where you going to go, that is thier attitude.

With that said, if you travel a lot, then they are the best, but if you don't travel your probably better off with another carrier in your area, even prepaid. Straight talk works good in our area, it is when they start traveling they have dropping issues.

Anyway come to Verizon with caution, their past record shows that when they feel like it they just take things away. If you do come to Verizon, never get comfortable with what you have, if Verizon feels like it they will take it away.

Well Verizon wants unlimited data gone so they are slowly moving towards phasing everyone off of it. They don't want to keep offering it and believe no one "needs" unlimited data so that is why they take that stance.

AT&T plans will most likely stay just like Verizon plans. They usually are neck in neck with each other. If you have AT&T DirecTV or U-Verse at home you can get a special unlimited plan through AT&T but have to have that service at home. Otherwise it is normal tiered plans like Verizon.

Would you be okay with a limit? How much do you use a month?

I'm usually ok with a few GB a month but they varies. The Verizon price for 5gb is tempting but my last dealings with Verizon weren't the best. Im in good standing with them but they seemed to give me more red tape to deal with than any other carrier.

Luckily I'm where I can get coverage from all the carriers in most places I'm at so that allows a lot of options

I think I've pretty much decided to stay away from Verizon. Out of all the carriers they've probably consistently treated me the worst the times I've had them. The plan is tempting but att has treated me much better and the coverage has been great
