I’ve been thinking about getting the LTE version (Verizon) and was wondering what peoples experience has been with making/receiving calls on the GA2. I’d really like to leave my phone behind some of the time but only if the LTE works well for calls. I realize that it likely pounds the battery pretty hard leaving LTE turned on and would only do that some of the time.

Any experience (positive or negative) appreciated.

The LTE Galaxy Watch handles calls, texts and so forth very well as a standalone and is a close relative of the Active 2. I wouldn't have any qualms in committing to it. Ensure that people will be able to pester you practically everywhere you might go and get the watch.

I've had my LTE Active 2 on VZW since it was released. On average I get a little over 2 days on the battery. I'm not often away from my phone, but when I am using LTE it doesn't seem to drain the battery any more than not.

I have the GA2 LTE on Verizon. I run and go to the gym without my phone and have answered calls a handful of times without issue. Typically I have my earbuds in and use them with the call. I have asked the other people on the call about the quality and they have also said it was fine (once I was jogging and even had a head warming band over the earbuds and there was no problem with the audio). I can't really speak to how LTE affects battery as I always using Spotify offline as well as a fitness app during these times and I know they really suck the battery.

Say your phone is in the house with you, but in another room, do the phone and watch, both receive a call?
