Verizon marshmellow update 6.0.1

I'm looking forward to that enhanced audio. I wonder if this is meant for the phone's speaker or headphones.

Must all apps be "turned off" under the Applications setting be turned back on in order to update?

After 5 failed attempts, trying different things (pulling MicroSD card, batt, etc..) I finally resorted to a full factory reset.
That did the trick. Stupid that we have to resort to stuff like this.

I read above that someone else has the following problem too.

>>Edge app icons are now very hard to activate by finger, but work good if using the S-pen.

How many are experiencing this?

I pulled the update Thursday night. Took 3 attempts. The first time, it downloaded 2% of the update and showed a 505 error. Tried it again and it got to 4%. Since I have an unlimited plan, I took it off of WiFi and attempted the update on the 4G signal and it downloaded flawlessly. Ran the update the next morning when I woke up and the update took on the 1st try. I made sure before I updated that I cleared the cache in my phone from the storage option on my phone. Had about 6 GB of unwanted gunk. The phone seems a little snappier. Slight delay when opening up my messaging app. Once it opens, it seems SwiftKey is working much better with far less lag than before. I like the new rounded icons and the Note 5 note-taking feature when you remove the S Pen from the sleeping phone.

I had that issue before the update. Once I got the update, and I rebooted the phone (something I always do after an update) that problem went away.

Update to my above about Edge Icons slow to respond to touch.
The matter resolved itself. Not sure how.
No reset required.

I have noticed some difficulty with the edge bar icons. I have to sometimes tap them twice to start them.

Update would not work without resetting the phone. I have not found anything wrong since doing so.

Android 6 allowed me to kill annoying Samsung Spotlight notifications. :)
I hope it stays that way.
