Verizon Model number

I looked but my s8 plus is SM-G955U, I find sights that say unlocked, if I change it to a V at the end that means it is verizon branded? I also should say that I do not have the cruddy Verizon logo on the back.

I have a real Verizon model and it's model SMG955UZKV and I do not have the Verizon logo on the back.

955u is the hardware number. It is the same for all USA carriers. They have different software installed though.

Assuming this is proper. I took it as Samsung truncating the model numers on all carriers in the settings.

Someone on another thread had a SM-G950U. From what I've read on Google, SM-G950U is unlocked.

Found my error. I quoted product code and not model number. Marketing got me hook, line and sinker

That is what I was finding, may have to dig further and see what I find.

Mine is the exact same way. SM-G955U on the phone and SMG955UZKV on the box it came in.
