Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo I gave Verizon a Droid Bionic, and 90 minutes of life...

Amen. I work for a large company that truly emphasizes customer service in every aspect of our operation, and we have over 30,000 employees. We are also the fastest growing company in our particular industry. Good customer service plays a significant role in that. That just infuriates me all the more when I walk into a business and get mediocre/poor/bad service -- especially when it's extreme like having to wait for the cashier to finish their conversation with a co-worker before they even acknowledge your existence (for instance). /rant (that's two rants today, time to get off my soap box)

Edit: this does not include my recent experience with Verizon where I received very good customer service.

Awesome and Amen! I wonder if we work for the same company? lol

64GB Droid Turbo
SOL Republic V8 Headphones

I think I came out on top.

That 90 minutes was some of the most ridiculously aggravating waiting I've ever done. It's unbelievable to me that VZW corporate stores don't have an express line or self serve kiosk for the advanced customers. Stupid trade offs for instant slightly-delayed gratification. #firstworldproblems

Just another reason I try to never go into store. Much easier to order and have it shipped to where you live. Hate going into verizon stores.

Re: Today, I gave Verizon a Droid Bionic, and 90 minutes of life, and they gave me this...

Nope.

64GB Droid Turbo on Edge
$0.00 Down
$27.xx First Monthly Payment (receiving $25/month credit to line access)
$2x.xx Sales Tax on Turbo

Received $100 Trade In for Droid Bionic (store credit or apply to account)
$99.99 Sol Republic Headphones
$7.xx Tax on Headphones

So, all in all, I walked out of the store with the phone and headphones for a grand total of not quite $60 charged to my account, $25 of which I'll get taken off my line access fee.

Us poor Verizon customers getting ripped off all the time by the best network and service in the world.

If only we could do something about the corporate store experience...

I thought the $100 trade in was only for buying the Turbo at full retail? I assumed you had to turn in a phone regardless to Edge.

Did you do an early upgrade to edge? Traded in a phone besides bionic?

You don't turn in a phone if the contract has been fullfilled, it's yours to keep, sell, trade in, smash, ect... Only on 'early edge', or on 'edge up' situations where the phone is not considered fully paid.

Trying to figure out why the sales tax on a $100 set of headphones is 7%, but on a phone that costs $649 it is 4.4%?

How are those headphones?

OMG you had to wait 90 minutes!! MY GOSH THE WORLD IS ENDING!! START PRAYING!!

Give me a break. Sounds like the other self entitled people in this country. Suck it up and just wait like everyone else. I hope you don't complain about waiting for 5 minutes to get your coffee at Starbucks.

On a brighter note. Congrats on your Turbo. It's a great phone. I love mine as well.

Uhm... are you kidding me? That's an insanely long time to wait. If I have to wait for anything good more than 10-15 minutes I get highly irate and leave. I'd rather come back another time than stand around with my thumb up my (you know what) waiting on customer service.

I really like them so far. The stick off my head a bit more than I'm used to, but I guess that just makes me look like everyone else these days. The cable is a little short for my liking, but they sound incredible, feel comfortable on my ears, block out most other noise, and look super cool with the phone. :D

Took me about 90 minutes to get my Droid Turbo also, partly because of a dispute about my account, but I agree 100% that customer service at all Verizon corporate stores SUCKS! Seems like they have no incentive to sell! They don't care. I'm a 20 year VW customer and when I have an issue they should actually LOOK at my account history before giving me a cookie cutter answer they give everyone, and realize they are dealing with a long time customer. Can you believe they told me to call Verizon directly when I had an issue and kicked me off the line so they can take the next person???!!! I should of walked out right there and yelled at the manager, but I really wanted the Turbo. Love the Turbo, hate the stores. Will avoid in the future at all costs....
