That's my plan, too. No idea how long, though.
Make sure you pay before time is up, their credit company, Comenity, has a VERY high interest rate, 28+%.
I spoke to someone at Motorola and they said Motorola themselves have not released it yet for public sale and don't know when they are going to. Ridiculous, especially since verizon now sells online and in the store.
It is likely a deal with Verizon, I.e. "You can sell it exclusively in Verizon stores for 1-2 weeks, then other places like Motorola will have it available."
This is exactly what I'm hoping to do too. Does anyone know if previous Verizon Droid phones could be purchased through the Motorola site with their financing plan in the past? I would think that Verizon would want to block this purchasing route since it completely circumvents forcing people onto EDGE plans for financing the phone.
I can see big red doing this. How I acquire a phone should not be their concern, just the service they provide to me.
Wouldn't this be the same as me purchasing from Best Buy on their credit card and making installment payments, though I don't have a best buy credit card.
UPDATE
Not much new to report.
Called customer service (sales). "Mary" regretted to inform me that I could only purchase this from Verizon...but would I like a Nexus 6?
BTW, that's not currently available on Motorola's site, either.
