We'll see what I think in a few days, but the black and red variants are some slippery things to the point where I could envision it slipping out of my hand. Coming from a Droid Maxx. I'm totally not a case guy, but I might consider it just to get something a little more tacky on the phone if there is something very minimalist. Good think I finally got a spiffy red phone. Maybe I can just take some sandpaper to it to rough it up...

Re: This phone is SLIPPERY!

Also have a Maxx, though i won't be switching to the Turbo for the lack of simultaneous voice/data.

Curious, though - did you get a chance to hold the ballistic nylon?

Ballistic Nylon is slick but the sides of it are grippy. I use a tech21 case though so I dont mind.

"Verizon has also confirmed to us that Advanced Calling 1.0 will arrive by the end of the year...which is their version of VoLTE"

Re: This phone is SLIPPERY!

The ballistic nylon is oil slick slippery. I'm coming from a Maxx HD which has been the best grip of any phone I've owned. I totally expected the back on the Turbo to be even more grip friendly from the pics but my lord it is far from that. I hate cases of any kind but can't see rolling with this thing naked. Prolly my biggest gripe about the device so far. Heck of a lot to like about it, though....

Wow, I wasn't expecting that! I thought the texture would make it much easier to hold than the kevlar!

The soft touch Kevlar of the Droid HD is fantastic. It really should be an option (motomaker too).

Re: This phone is SLIPPERY!

I have the ballistic nylon and I find it better to hold than my previous phone the Kevlar backed Droid RAZR M.

Totally agree and really was surprised at how slick the ballistic nylon is given the texture. I almost broke mine as soon as the rep handed it to me.

Unrelated (and maybe a different thread), the rep suggested I use Migrate to move my content over but I can't get the scan to engage, any tips?

Re: This phone is SLIPPERY!

Its good to know that the BN is also slippery. I played with it a little in the store, but didn't give it much consideration as I didn't think I needed the extra space, extra $50 or extra thickness. I'd considered going back and swapping my red phone for one thinking it might be grippier, but I guess not. My Maxx feels so good in the hand. The Turbo is slippery in the hand and even just when its sitting on the desk it will slide around more. I hate the idea of getting a case, but I may have to

I went back to the store today and got a cover for mine.. The sides were slick, not just the nylon. I got a really nice silicon cover that still shows off the nylon. It feels a lot better now
