I was hoping that the OTA JB update would solve my problem. It hasn't. Now Im running stock, unrooted, 4.1.1 and cannot open the Verizon NFL Mobile App. The app comes up and just stays on the initialization screen indefinitely saying something to the effect of "be patient we're still in the huddle". I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the cache etc. and still nothing. I can open the 'My Verizon' app etc without issue so Verizon recognizes my phone. Anyone have any ideas? I dont have direct TV and relied on the NFL app to stream Thursday night games. It worked last season without issue. Then when I tried firing it up this season, nothing.

Thanks!

I get those messages for one of two reasons:

1 - there is some crap stuffed into the app settings... I suggest going in and "clearing data" from the app in the settings menu

2 - no data connection - check that

mine works fine, however I'm also on a rooted device so the situation is not completely the same.

Try what Scratch suggested. clear all app data and clear cache for NFL Mobile. try again. If hat doesnt work, uninstall it and try again from scratch.

I just wanted to note that you cannot stream NFL games for free using the NFL app this year. I'm pretty sure you can just add it on the Thursday and canceled the next day to get prorated if you don't want to pay for the month. Also, it sounds like you were rooted and couldn't run the NFL app. There's a verizon login apk workaround. A lot of us rooted users have been using NFL mobile for months without a hitch. Just FYI.

Thanks ConTejas, Ill look into the login apk workaround however I've never been rooted. Completely untouched stock from day one which makes this even more perplexing. All the other Verizon apps work just fine. The only questionable thing Ive ever done was clear the Google Framework Services cache to try and trigger my update early. This killed my Google Play store but that was fixed as soon as I finally got JB over the air.

Ive cleared all the data and uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times with no success. And I have tried it using a 3G data connection, 4G data connection, and over wifi. No luck.
